lunch, facilities are available at Mount Edgcumbe or bring a picnic
lunch.
Getting
there - From Torpoint road A374 at Treulefoot roundabout (A38
Liskeard to Saltash road) follow brown signs to Mount Edgcumbe.
Turn right into country park and park at the plants sales car park
which is 25 yards from the stables restaurant and shop. Disabled
car parking is below the plant sales or beside the house. Members
can be driven to the garden houses but prior notice would be appreciated.

Kelly house

Meet
in the stable yard for introductory talk by Stephen Tyrrell. This
property may well boast the longest single occupancy of any house
in Britain. It is noted for its 15th century roof timbers, Great
Kitchen dated 1600 on frieze, 17th century extensions, later Palladian
style block dated 1742 and Victorian wing.
Following on Mr Kelly with open the church.
This church was noted by Bishop Bronscombe in 1259.
Cost £10.00
to include tea in the Great Kitchen. A collection will be held
in the church to support its maintenance.

Edward mine, Troon and the Great Flat Lode

tour of mine with expert Tony Brooks and volunteers. Some
walking required. The mine is suitable for wheelchair users. Coffee
is available on arrival.
Cost £5.00
includes coffee. Picnic lunches can be eaten on site or under cover.
The nearest pub is the Countryman at Piece approximately 2 miles.
Leave King Edward mine
for a tour of the Great Flat Lode led by Ainsley Cocks (world
heritage site research officer).
Getting
there - Follow brown signs from A30 at Pool. At Cambourne
take road to Beacon and Troon over railway line for about 1.5 miles
- brown sign for King Edward mine just before Troon.
